An essence of a one-month work in Thai education | summarized with Reinhold Niebuhr

My current work:
Academic Personnel for Centre for Educational Psychology
Train teachers on Socratic Teaching & Growth mindset
Level: Grassroot (with breathing & living teachers & students)

Officer in the Personal Team of the Minister of Education
Projects worth millions of taxpayer’s money (heavy responsibility)
Level: top of the commanding tower (dizzying height)

Why work at both places:
The current Minister of Thailand, Dr Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, is the Head of the Centre for Educational Psychology

The learning journey of my work summarized in quotes by Reinhold Niebuhr:

“Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope.”

For our “minuscule” work in the eyes of many (including myself during those frustrating nights) within the rigid education system or perspectives that hinder learning & teaching.

“Nothing which is true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; therefore we must be saved by faith.”

When I question myself if what I’m doing will change anything for the better.

Trust in my colleagues for they too care for education.
