Universal Design for Learning.
UDL
what?
a framework of learning and teaching.
Providing multiple options for expression and action.
My class assignment to David Rose, who co-conceptualize UDL
Here is my way to express my learning on his assignment of the Critical Review
Review #2: I’m critiquing David’s work
Initial thoughts about this review:
Nervous about how David will look at it. I don’t to sour our relationship so fast.
I had so much fun drawing.
What I learned:
David took my review seriously – that my review was able to help him realize many things he need to work on eg presentation of the scientific findings in his book and the notion of help-seeking as measurement of engagement.
My review was able to spark meaningful conversation during work.
Even though I might not be as skilled in expressing my thoughts in words compared to my incredible friends, my opinions are valued and David created a space for my voice to be heard.
This is what it is to experience UDL.
I took an eternity to finish this but if this is how much fun “homework/assignment” can be, this eternity is worth.
Thank you David.
